Space Hire at Filmbase

Located on Curved Street in the heart of Dublin's Temple Bar, Filmbase is ideally situated as a public venue space. The central location, combined with the variety and versatility of all spaces, makes Filmbase an extremely popular venue with an unrivalled ease of public access. Rates are competitive and discounts are available for long-term hires. For more information on the venue hire options available at Filmbase please see the information below. If you would like to book space at Filmbase contact the Venue Manager to check availability. Bookings are taken for daytime and evenings and weekday or weekends. Short and long-term bookings are also considered.

Filmbase has an extensive range of audio-visual equipment available for hire. It is possible to rent a wide variety of equipment including both film and video cameras, lighting kits, microphones, sound mixers, projectors, editing facilities and multimedia applications. Please visit the equipment section of this website for more information.

Also located in Filmbase is The Curved Street Café which is on the first floor. So why not pop by for great value lunch specials, excellent coffee or delicious homemade lemonade. The building also has free wi-fi internet access.

SCREENINGS / EVENTS

The Basement Space in Filmbase is a large black box space suitable for a variety of purposes. The space can comfortable seat up to 100 people in a variety of formats and is fully equipped with high quality digital screening facilities, this includes a 3500 lumen Panasonic projector and surround sound system. We can screen from Digibeta, Beta SP, DV, DVCAM, HDV, and DVD.

Due to the flexibility of the space (seating can be removed/rearranged) it is ideal for public and private screenings, exhibitions, launches, presentations, conferences, performances and rehearsals.

CASTINGS / MEETINGS

Filmbase has a range of rooms available for auditions, rehearsals, meetings, conferences and presentations. Rooms vary in size facilitating from 10 - 30 people and all benefit from good natural light. All rooms are also equipped with screening and projection facilities for DVD/video/laptop.

Special equipment packages are available for casting sessions including DV Camera, tripod, Three Point Lighting Kit, DV tape and separate monitor. Contact the Equipment Department on +353 (0)1 881 5101/9 or email equipmentfilmbase.ie for more information.

TRAINING ROOMS

In addition to having a dedicated Multimedia training room available, Filmbase also has a number of rooms which are perfectly suited for corporate training, presentations and demonstrations. Filmbase can also provide audio and video equipment to allow recording of events.

EXHIBITIONS

The ground floor at Filmbase is a highly flexible space due to the design of the moveable exhibition panels. This means the layout can be changed to facilitate all types of exhibitions, launches and special events. The prominent visibility and central location in Temple Bar ensures Filmbase is perfectly located for public events and helps to create a high profile for any event.
