An experienced producer will take you through all aspects of producing a feature script on a low budget. This course is open to everyone and is especially suitable for first-time feature producer/director teams. The course will include a case study of a recent Irish feature film.

This course is designed to increase filmmakers' knowledge of how a film set functions. By examining the role of 1st, 2nd and 3rd Assistant Directors students will grasp precisely how to manage a film set and delegate responsibility. Within pre-production we will examine the recce, scheduling and rehearsals. From principal photography we study shooting routines such as crew breakdowns, blocking, cast prep, unit moves, contingency planning, stress management and supporting the Director. This course is valuable to anyone from the Camera Department, the Production department, Directors to potential Assistant Directors.

This one day workshop will take the participants through the application procedure for funding applications. Course work will cover most of the funding schemes with the resource centres, the Irish Film Board, the broadcasters & the Arts Council. An experienced producer will explain each element from a budget summary to a production finance plan.

Course Cancellation Policy: If notice is received at least (i) 14 days in advance of the class, the Customer is entitled to a full refund, (ii) 7 days of the class, the customer is entitled to a full class credit which must be used within 3 months of the date of the original class to another class offered by Filmbase. Customer is not entitled to a refund or class credit if less than 7 day advance notice is given. Failure to provide notice at least 14 days in advance of the class obligates the Customer to pay the full price of the class.
Filmbase reserves the right to amend or cancel the date, time and location of a Training class including replacing the personnel who may be scheduled to deliver the Training. In the event a Training class is cancelled, the customer is entitled to a full refund. Filmbase shall not be responsible for any other loss incurred by Customer as a result of a cancellation or amendment.
