Filmbase is an Apple Authorized Training Center and as such falls under Apple's strict standards in all areas, including facilities, instructor certification, courseware certification, and Course Cancellation Policy. The goal of Filmbase is to offer Apple customers, from beginners to the most seasoned professionals, the highest-quality training experience.

Apple Pro Exams are available for all of these applications. If you wish to take a certified exam without having taken a class you may schedule the exam by contacting Alessandro.
The cost of an Apple Pro Exam is €120. If an exam is failed it may be taken again at cost, after waiting a duration of two weeks. An exam may only be taken a total of 3 times, if the exam has not been passed at this point, the student must take the respective course either for the first time, or again in order to be eligible to take the exam again.
Courses can be booked by contacting Filmbase reception (+353 (0)1 679 6716) and putting down a €200 deposit on the course.

FINAL CUT PRO 7
FCP 200: A Comprehensive Study of Final Cut Pro 7

This five-day, hands-on course starts with basic video editing techniques and works all the way through Final Cut Pro's powerful advanced features. Learn to mark and edit clips, mix sound, add titles, create transitions, apply filters, and more. Topics include basic setup, customizing preferences and settings, capturing video and audio, various editing and trimming techniques, Ripple, Roll, Slip, and Slide tools, audio editing and audio creation, finishing and final output. In this course, you will cut a scene from the TNT television series Leverage, create a promo for Seaworld's Believe documentary, as well as master filters and effects as you edit a segment of Playing for Change, the international music-creation event.

This course does not cover all the lessons and exercises in the book or include the certification exam. Students interested in certification may prefer the FCP200 courses above.

Course Cancellation Policy
If notice is received at least (i) 14 days in advance of the class, the Customer is entitled to a full refund, (ii) 7 days of the class, the customer is entitled to a full class credit which must be used within 3 months of the date of the original class to another class offered by Filmbase. Customer is not entitled to a refund or class credit if less than 7 day advance notice is given. Failure to provide notice at least 14 days in advance of the class obligates the Customer to pay the full price of the class.
Filmbase reserves the right to amend or cancel the date, time and location of a Training class including replacing the personnel who may be scheduled to deliver the Training. In the event a Training class is cancelled, the customer is entitled to a full refund. Filmbase shall not be responsible for any other loss incurred by Customer as a result of a cancellation or amendment.
